Before Surgery

Dr. Katzell meets with each of his patient’s personally pre-operation for an in-depth and detailed consultation. This consultation will include a detailed medical history, a thorough physical examination, and additional investigations, such as X-Rays and ultrasound.

Immediately following any type of shoulder surgery, the patient will need to wear a sling in order to immobilize the shoulder joint. This allows the body to heal properly. The length of time needed with the sling will vary by which type of shoulder surgery took place.
