Dr. Jeffery Katzell is an Orthopedic Surgeon who has been in practice in Palm Beach Country since 1987. His educational background includes undergraduate schooling at Syracuse University and medical school at New York Medical College. His specialty training was done at the University of Medicine of New Jersey. Dr. Katzell, over the past several years, also has done additional studies in the field of minimally invasive spine surgery with Dr. Anthony Yeung, a true Pioneer of the field in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dr. Katzell’s primary area of interest is in minimally invasive surgery of the spine and extremities. His particular area of expertise is in arthroscopic techniques that allow treatment of pathology as an outpatient procedure with very small incisions and very rapid recovery. Although Dr. Katzell continues to do part of his practice involving more extensive open procedures at the local hospitals, he also does many of the more complex arthroscopic procedures of the knees and shoulder that relieve pain and improve function with more rapid and less painful convalescence.

He is a frequent lecturer for minimally invasive spine surgery educational seminars and for the Florida Division of workers Compensation and for the Florida Bar. Dr. Katzell’s emphasis however, is on clinical medicine.
